As we look ahead to the 2026 season, I'd like to warmly welcome everyone to Altona City Soccer Club. It's fantastic to see so many players — boys and girls, new and returning — joining us again this year.
To our returning players — welcome back. It's great to see familiar faces and to have you continue to be part of what makes this club so special. And to all our parents and carers, thank you. Your support on the sidelines, behind the scenes, and within the wider club plays a vital role in creating the positive, inclusive environment that everyone at Altona City benefits from.
At Altona City, we pride ourselves on our core values of teamwork, respect, and participation. While competition is part of the game, our focus is on learning, improving, and enjoying football together.
On behalf of the committee and coaches, thank you for being part of Altona City Soccer Club. We're excited for the season ahead and look forward to sharing it with you all. Welcome everyone, and best of luck for 2026.
A friendly reminder to stick to the 10km/h speed limit within the club grounds. With kids and families frequently walking and running across the area, safety must always come first. If you're running late, your coach will understand — please slow down and help keep our club a safe place for everyone.
Carpark works are scheduled to begin in October, which will help address current dust concerns. In the meantime, keeping speeds low is essential, and the club will continue working with council to manage dust levels until works begin.
Based on the available budget, works will include kerb and channel and two coat spray seal. The proposed schedule is as follows:

There have been some fantastic highlights across the squad lately, and one that stands out is the addition of two new faces to the senior side. Oscar and Toby have officially earned their place after consistently showing effort, commitment, grit, and genuine team spirit over the years and into the start of this season.
It's no coincidence this progress comes under the guidance of two coaches who prioritise player development above all else. Chris (Senior Men's Coach) and Phil (Reserves Coach) have had a significant impact on both squads, and their work continues to create opportunities where they're truly deserved.
The senior group has embraced Oscar and Toby from day one, recognising the hard work they've put in and celebrating the contribution they make each week. Congratulations to both on a well-earned achievement — it's a reflection of persistence, and of the strong leadership helping shape this group.
The last month has been an exciting time for our U20s and U23s program. Whilst some results have been mixed of late, the football being played is still of a high quality. One of the key aspects of this program and Head Coach Phil Devetak's philosophy is to develop players to play at senior level.
A shoutout also to Aidan Collingwood, Jet Gravina, Rylee Borg, Will Harper, Rueben Miller, Cooper Peatling, Hunter Stewart and Iqbal Imran for featuring in the Dockerty Cup matchday squad against Uni Hill — great for their development and a sign of what's to come.
Our U9s enjoyed a memorable day at the Manningham Cup, with both the Wallabies and the Kangaroos crowned champions in their respective divisions.
The Kangaroos went unbeaten across all five matches, keeping three clean sheets against strong opposition. Peter Biondino's relentless pressure earned him Player of the Tournament, while Neo Elloso claimed the Golden Boot with an impressive five goals and four assists.
The Wallabies emerged from their group in second place before topping George Cross in a tense final. A superb goal from Alessio Mancini proved the difference in a 1–0 win, earning him Player of the Tournament. Teamwork was on full display — 12 goals shared across eight players, with goalkeeper Harley Dieni conceding just two goals in four games.
Female Football Week gives us a great opportunity to come together and celebrate what's been building at Altona City — and this year, there's plenty to be proud of.
Over the coming weeks, senior women will also be visiting various training groups to say hello and take warm-ups — a great opportunity for our younger players to connect with role models at the club.
For the first time in the club's history, we now have more female teams than ever before. Last year also marked a significant milestone, with Altona City earning a CPL licence for our Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 female teams. With that momentum, the next goal is firmly in sight — NPL. 🤞
Our female football community continues to grow, and Female Football Week is the perfect moment to recognise and celebrate that progress together. We look forward to seeing everyone at the club on the 11th from 6pm!
Junior team members will have the opportunity to walk out alongside our senior players on match day — a fantastic experience for our youngest members to feel the energy of senior football up close. We encourage all families to attend and stay to cheer on the teams!
